| Fostering Resilience
The facilitators, staff, and partners involved in C2Y have a long history of working with youth. We are extremely aware and sensitized to the fact that personal experiences can be very difficult to talk about and may well be connected to past traumas. As a result, part of the intention of this program is:
* To normalize young people's experiences in the social service sector.
* To help system-involved youth recognize the positive strengths and skills that they have developed as a result of overcoming adversity.
* To provide a resilience-fostering environment in which competencies and positive functioning are emphasized.
With this as a starting point, C2Y also recognizes that issues may emerge for the youth during training. To ensure that they have just as supportive an environment outside the workshop as inside, free counseling and other services are always at their disposal.
